Here at Proper Prep we believe children must have their basic developmental needs met, in order to become successful members of society. How do we ensure our children's needs are met adequately? By using the The Whole-Child teaching approach.
The Whole-Child approach, emphasizes the importance of fostering a child's physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and communicative areas of development. The curriculum, Teaching Strategies, demonstrates how Proper Prep incorporates this method of teaching in our classroom.
PLAY-BASED LEARNING
Children learn best through play. Period. Play gives children the opportunity to make sense of the world around them. Play is inviting, investigative, interactive, individualized, and above all, play is FUN! Proper Prep is a huge advocate of play-based learning because it is a thoroughly researched method, backed by child psychologists', Jean Piaget, Fredrick Froebel & many more.
